Akshay Kumar has kickstarted the shoot of his first Marathi film. Titled Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, the pan-India film is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Akshay will be playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the historical drama.
Today, the first schedule of Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat went on floors in Mumbai with Akshay as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The superstar unveiled his look as the revered ruler on social media. Sharing the video from the film's set, he wrote, "Jai Bhawani Jai Shivaji."
Making the announcement that Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat went on floors today, Akshay wrote, "Today I am starting the shooting of Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Sat’ in which I am lucky to be able to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji. I will do my best by taking inspiration from her life and blessing of Mother Jijau! Keep your blessings on us."
Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is produced by Vaseem Qureshi. The film is a Qureshi Production presentation and is all set to release in cinemas on Diwali 2023 in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.
