Rumours were rife that Hombale Films, the production house behind this year's two major blockbusters- KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara, roped in Shah Rukh Khan for a film with Rishab Shetty and Rakshit Shetty. Certain reports even claimed that Rohit Shetty was signed as the director. Now, putting an end to the rumours, a source close to the production house clarified that the news isn't true.
"There is no truth to this development. After KGF, KGF 2, and Kantara, the next Pan India film from Hombale Films is Salaar with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. It is directed by Prashanth Neel. The banner is planning one more film for 2023, the casting of which is yet undisclosed," the source confirmed.

Hombale Films' recent Kannada film Kantara gained much popularity and critical acclaim. Directed, written and headlined by Rishab Shetty, the film was well-received across the country and did exceptionally well in the Hindi belt too.
Workwise, Shah Rukh is gearing up for an eventful 2023. He will start the new year with Pathaan, which marks his return to the silver screen after a gap of 5 years. Atlee's Jawan and Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki will release next year too.
