Child actor Riva Arora, who received tremendous backlash for her recent music videos with Karan Kundrra, Mika Singh and others, has deleted or deactivated her Instagram account. The teenage actress was criticised brutally for being a part of provocative projects at a tender age. Now, Riva's mother Nisha Arora issued a statement and apologised to the National Commission of Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR). She further requested parents not to encourage their children to work in such videos.
Riva's mother wrote, "I Nisha Arora tender my apology for the video I made for my daughter Riva Arora’s account where I used alcohol setup and which created so much problem and bad image in the society. I heartily believe being a actor and role model for the society we should portray good image in the society, I wanted to request all the child actors and their parents to avoid such kind of videos. I will take care in future and I have given a apology letter to the NCPCR and given them all the clarifications related to the issue."
For the unversed, Riva featured with Karan Kundrra in an Instagram reel. She played the role of his girlfriend while being in a relationship with another man. Apart from the content, Riva was slammed for wearing 'revealing' outfits and for sitting near the bar. After the backlash, the video was deleted from all social media platforms.
Amid the backlash, Riva's mother had said in a statement, "It’s unfortunate to see renowned publications are spreading false information about a young girl without any verifications. My daughter is currently in the 10th grade. She has been working in the industry for more than 13 years and has achieved everything with utmost integrity and perseverance."
