Aasmaan Bharadwaj is gearing up for his directorial debut with Kuttey, a caper thriller and fans cannot keep calm for the film to hit the theatres! Ahead of its release, the makers of the film hosted a grand music launch event titled ‘Mehfil -E-Khaas’, in Mumbai. The event was organized by lyricist-writer Varun Grover and hosted by Emcee. Arjun Kapoor, Tabu, Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Radhika Madan, Shardul Bhardwaj, Aasmaan Bhardwaj, Vishal Bhardwaj, Gulzar, Rekha Bhardwaj, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, Bhushan Kumar and other team members were present at the event.
The musical extravaganza saw live performances from Vishal Bhardwaj, singer Rekha Bhardwaj, and the legendary lyricist Gulzar. Rekha Bhardwaj's performed a beautiful rendition of Namak Ishq Ka from the movie Omkara. She also sang the titular song of Kuttey along with other songs like Paani Paani Rey, Ek Wo Din, Rone Do.
The director Aasmaan Bhardwaj spoke about his directorial debut with Kuttey, his take on new-age cinema & his stories of Vishal Ji, Rekha Ji & Gulzar Sahab. Vishal Bhardwaj dedicated Dil Toh Bacha Hai Ji from the film Ishqiya for Arjun Kapoor. Radhika Madan & Shardul Bharadwaj requested Vishal ji & Rekha Ji to sing their all-time favorite song Pehli Baar Mohabbat Ki Hai version from the movie Kaminey.
Two of the movie's chart-topping songs, Phir Dhan Te Nan and Awaara Dogs, have already been heard by the audience. Mehfil-E-Khaas saw an exclusive screening of the remaining songs of the film exclusively on the LED. The new song Tere Saath was also been part of this event.
Kuttey is produced by Luv Ranjan, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Garg and Rekha Bhardwaj under the banner of Luv Films and Vishal Bhardwaj Films, and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The film’s music is scored by Vishal Bhardwaj with lyrics penned by Gulzar. The film is all set to release this Friday.
