Ranbir Kapoor breaks silence on being a part of Sourav Ganguly's biopic, says 'haven't been offered the film'; confirms working on Kishore Kumar's biopic with Anurag Basu

Amid rumours of headlining Sourav Ganguly's biopic, Ranbir Kapoor played a friendly cricket match with the former cricketer in Kolkata on Sunday. He was promoting his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar at the Eden Gardens. During the promotional event, the actor interacted with the media and addressed speculations of being offered the biopic. Ranbir clarified that he hasn't been offered the film yet. 

During the event, Ranbir said, "I think dada (Sourav Ganguly) is a living legend not just in India, but around the world. A biopic on him will be very special. Unfortunately, mujhe yeh film offer nahi huyi hai (I have not been offered this film). I think the makers of Luv films are still writing the script."

Talking about being a part of Kishore Kumar's biopic, Ranbir told the media, "Main 11 saal se Kishore Kumar ke biopic pe kaam kar raha hoon. We have been writing that with Anurag Basu and I'm hoping that it's gonna be my next biopic. But maine abhi tak Dada k upar jo biopic ban rahi hai uske baare mein kuch suna nahi hai. So, I don't know."

Post Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar's release on March 8, Ranbir has Animal with Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the pipeline. The thriller is scheduled to release in theatres on August 11.
