Satish Kaushik shot for his last film Emergency before his untimely demise; played the role of Jagjivan Ram in Kangana Rananut's directorial

Satish Kaushik's untimely demise has left the film fraternity in deep shock. At the age of 67, he passed away after suffering a massive heart attack in NCR while travelling to meet a friend for Holi. The actor-director was actively working in the Hindi film industry and shot for multiple projects in the last couple of months. 

The last film he shot for is Emergency. Directed and headlined by Kangana Ranaut, he played the role of Jagjivan Ram in the period drama. In September last year, his first look from the film was shared by Kangana's production house. The caption on social media read, "Presenting the supremely talented @satishkaushik2178 as #JagjivanRam in @kanganaranaut directorial #Emergency; the man who was the epitome of justice who worked to uplift the lives of depressed classes."

The shoot of Emergency was wrapped in January. Sharing a picture with Kangana and co-star Anupam Kher from the wrap-up party, Satish wrote, "Pleasure to be at the #WrapParty of @kanganaranaut ’s #Emergency. It was a great journey and a beautiful experience to be directed by #KanganaRanaut. You are amazing KANGANA. CHEERS to the entire team."

Emergency will be releasing in theatres on October 20 this year.
