Veteran actor Satish Kaushik passed away suddenly yesterday on Thursday March 9, 2023 in Delhi after suffering a heart attack. He was cremated in the evening in Mumbai in presence of his family and friends from the fraternity including Anupam Kher, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Pankaj Tripathi and others. After his funeral, his 10-year-old daughter Vanshika Kaushik put up a throwback picture of the two of them in happier times.
Vanshika shared a throwback photo with her father and veteran actor Satish Kaushik on Instagram. In the picture she can be seen hugging him and holding him close as they both smile at the camera. She only shared a red heart emoji as caption for the picture.
Heartbroken fans sent their condolences to the young girl and paid their respects to the talented artiste. One fan wrote, "Your father will always be a part of you, and he will always be watching over you. He will always be with you in your heart and memories dear. Lots of love and hugs to you." Another fan wrote, “Stay strong and take care of ur mom.”
Satish and his wife Shashi Kaushik had welcomed Vanshika in 2012, born via surrogacy after their two-year-old son Sanu Kaushik died in 1996. Satish was 56 when he welcomed his second child after 18 years of marriage.
Satish’s last film as director was Kaagaz (2021) starring Pankaj Tripathi in the lead. He was last seen in Rakul Preet Singh’s Chhatriwali in January and had completed filming his part on Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency in which he plays political leader Jagjivan Ram.
