‘Beyond excited to represent India,’ says American actor-dancer Lauren Gottlieb as she gears up to perform RRR’s Naatu Naatu at Oscars 2023 instead of Ram Charan & Jr.NTR

The 95th Academy Awards is all set to take place on March 13 (IST) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. India is rooting for SS Rajamouli’s RRR to win in Best Song category for Naatu Naatu. While RRR’s lead actors Ram Charan and Jr.NTR are busy campaigning for the song, they will not be performing it live on the Oscars stages, instead American actor and dancer Lauren Gottlieb has now announced that she will be dancing to Naatu Naatu at the Oscars.

Taking to Instagram, Lauren shared the happy news and wrote, “SPECIAL NEWS!!! I’m performing on ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the OSCARS!!!!!! I’m beyond excited to represent India on the most prestigious stage in the world. Wish me luck!!!”

The song will be sung by original singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava at the Oscars stage. MM Keeravani has composed the song which has become a rage across the world.

Lauren rose to fame on Indian television circuit wither sting on dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa Season 6 and followed it up with Remo D’Souza’s directorial film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance.
