Satish Kaushik's sudden demise sent shockwaves across the country. It didn't take too long for rumours about his untimely death to surface in the media. There were speculations that the veteran actor was 'murdered' by industrialist Vikas Malu. However, Satish's wife and the industrialist put an end to rumours. Now, at Satish's prayer meet held yesterday at his residence, Anupam Kher requested people to not spread rumours.
Anupam, who was Satish's friend for over 4 decades, addressed rumours while interacting with a group of reporters and paparazzi. He said Satish lived a dignified life and needs to be given a 'dignified exit'. "I think we should give the man a dignified exit and not make these speculations, because he lived a dignified life. He needs a dignified exit. All these rumours should end today with this pooja. Thank you," Anupam said.
Satish passed away in Gurgaon on March 9. He was with Vikas Malu at his farmhouse for a Holi party. When his health deteriorated, he was in his car and asked the driver to take him to the hospital. Despite all the efforts, he couldn't be saved. Soon after his demise, Vikas' wife Saanvi gave a statement to the cops accusing her husband of murdering the veteran actor over monetary issues.
Vikas hit back at the allegations and clarified through social media that he didn't have any involvement in Satish's natural death. "Satish Ji has been my family for the past 30 years and it did not take minutes for the world to use my name in the wrong light. I can’t fathom the tragedy that happened after our beautiful celebration together. I'd like to break the silence and say that a tragedy is always unforeseen and no one has any power over it. With this I’d like to request the members of the media to respect everyone's sentiments. Satish Ji will always be missed at all our celebrations coming forth," he wrote sharing a video from the Holi party.
The 67-year-old actor is survived by his wife Shashi Kaushik and daughter Vanshika.
