RRR producer DVV Danayya reacts to rumours of spending Rs. 80 crores on Oscars campaign

SS Rajamouli-directed RRR has been making headlines for the right reasons. The song Naatu Naatu bagged multiple awards in the United States in the past few months. The team's US tour ended on a high note-the Oscars. Since RRR was the talk of the town, rumours were inevitable. One of them was around the money spent on the Oscar campaign. Reports stated that Rajamouli and producer DVV Danayya put in a whopping Rs. 80 crores in the campaign.

Now, reacting to the rumour of spending Rs. 80 crores on the campaign, DVV Danayya told a regional Telugu publication, "I also heard about the money spent on the Oscar campaign. I haven’t spent any money on the campaign and I am not aware of what happened exactly. But no one spends Rs 80 crores for an award event. There would be no profits involved in it."
