In January this year, Rakhi Sawant confirmed marrying Adil Khan Durrani in a secret nikaah ceremony which was held on July 2, 2022. Just a month later, she got her husband arrested on the grounds of cheating and infidelity. Now, during an interaction with the media in the city, Rakhi said her divorce from Adil will be finalised soon.
While talking to the media, a reporter asked her the reason behind looking happy. In response to this, Rakhi said in Hindi, "Meri khushi ka raaz? Mera divorce hone waala hai. Hum abhi azaad ho chuke hain." She added, "There are few things in life that one should leave and move on in life." The Bigg Boss contestant also said Adil will be free to marry the woman he loves.

Back in February, Rakhi filed a complaint against Adil at the Oshiwara Police station. She accused him of cheating on her and claimed he was living with his alleged girlfriend Tanu. The actress further said Adil did not give money for her mother Jaya Bheda's treatment and blamed him for her death. Adil was arrested based on Rakhi's allegations.
The estranged couple kept the news of their intimate nikaah a secret. It was confirmed only after pictures and videos went viral. However, back then Adil refused to accept their marriage. Rakhi got emotional in front of a group of paparazzi. Amid much drama, Adil then accepted Rakhi as his wife.
