Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha are the latest celebrity couple in town. Although the two have been tight-lipped about their relationship rumours, the country is abuzz with talks of their roka happening very soon. On Wednesday night, Raghav was seen at the Delhi airport as he arrived to pick up Parineeti. They were first seen together on a dinner date in Mumbai earlier this month that sparked dating and wedding rumours. Amid the roka speculation, Parineet’s co-star Harrdy Sandhu has confirmed their wedding and congratulated the duo.
As Parineeti and Raghav exited the airport, they did not speak to anyone but were surrounded by security personnel. Parineeti was wearing a black T-shirt with a long black jacket and dark blue jeans. She kept her hair open and sported spectacles while Raghav, who is the youngest Member of Parliament, wore a light blue shirt with dark pants and spectacles. They left together in a car.
Harrdy Sandhu, who worked with Parineeti in their film Code Name: Tiranga confirmed their upcoming wedding to an online portal. Talking about congratulating the two he said, “I am so happy that it's finally happening. I wish her all the luck. When we were shooting for Code Name: Tiranga, we used to have discussions about marriage, and she used to say that 'I will get married, only after I feel that I have found the right guy'. Yes, I have called and congratulated her.”
Last week, Raghav dodged a question about Parineeti when asked about their videos and dinner date. Evading the question, he said, “Aap mujhse raajneeti ke sawaal kariye, Parineeti ke na kariye (Please ask me questions about politics, not Parineeti).” When asked about the video and his marriage plans, the AAP leader said, “Aapko bataenge jab karenge toh (Will let you know when I get married).” The reporter further asked him, “Why do you want to create a suspense?” to which Mr Chadha said, “No suspense. I am telling you, I will inform when I get married.”
Amid their roka rumours, Parineeti’s cousin and brother-in-law, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas arrived in Mumbai today with their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
