Upasana Kamineni Konidela recalls being on RRR's set to support husband Ram Charan, reveals 'he was physically shaking' during the shoot of Naatu Naatu in Ukraine

RRR's song Naatu Naatu was a pathbreaking dance number. Oscars was the result of all the hard work put in by the entire team. The cast and key members of the film's music department were actively promoting the song in the US. Before the Oscars, Naatu Naatu won big at the Golden Globes 2023. Ram Charan's wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela was a part of the RRR team's US campaign tour and was his strongest pillar of support throughout. Be it at the Oscars or being present in Ukraine during the shoot of Naatu Naatu, Upasana stood by Ram Charan.

In an interview with a human interest portal, the philanthropist opened up about spending quality time with the actor in the US and their babymoon amid the Oscar buzz. Upasana said over a period of time, the entire team of RRR has become like family. "Whether it was winning or losing, I don't think it was a big thing. I was just being there. It was a huge thing. Being there as a family was a huge thing. Being with Rajamouli garu, his wife, we've grown as a family together for the past three to four years now," Upasana told.

Talking about being on the set of RRR in Ukraine during the shoot of Naatu Naatu, Upasana revealed, "I was on the set of Naatu Naatu in Ukraine with him and then here as well. He has been with me through some of my really tough times at work and of course he's there during all my successes as well. I just had to be there at this time because he was physically shaking and he needed as much support as he could get during the dance."

Upasana and Ram Charan have been married for over 10 years and are expecting their first child together this year. Before the actor started the Oscars campaign, the couple announced the news. On December 12, 2022, Ram Charan and Upasana's family members mentioned in a statement, "With the blessings of Shri Hanuman Ji, we are delighted to share that Upasana and Ram Charan are expecting their first child.
