Priyanka Chopra Jonas reveals the advice she wants to give Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu for Citadel India, says 'some cool threads connect' the installments

While Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden's Citadel is weeks away from its release, the Indian version of the ground-breaking spy series is on floors. Headlined by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan, the Hindi series is directed by Raj & DK. Now, as Priyanka and Richard kickstarted the global tour of Citadel with a press conference in Mumbai, the actress was asked what advice she would like to give Varun and Samantha who will take the franchise forward.

At the press conference in Mumbai, Priyanka said, "I don't think so I can give any advice as they are both so accomplished actors in their way. There is nothing I can say. I met Varun recently at the NMACC event and he was telling me how the shoot is going and how exciting it is. There are some really cool threads that connect the other installments and our installments. You will find it out after you start watching it and realise how we are all connected to each other."

She further added, "But it’s really fun and I can’t wait to see that. Raj and DK are so amazing, so talented and they’ll bring their own spin to the Indian installment. So I’m very excited."

In an interview, Raj & DK spoke about the Hindi version of Citadel. Talking about Samantha's role in it, they said, "We have started shooting with Samantha and Varun. It's a really strong, author-backed role. The idea is to use Samantha's abilities and challenge her more, to open up a few more aspects of her acting."

Citadel is executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO and showrunner David Weil. Alongside Priyanka and Richard, the 6-episode series features Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville in pivotal roles. This thrilling spy series, which takes viewers around the world, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video starting April 28 with two episodes and then one episode rolling out weekly through May 26. The global series will stream in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and other international languages.
