Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter made their Bollywood debut with Karan Johar-produced Dhadak in 2018. Now, 6 years later, there are reports that Dhadak 2 is on the cards with a fresh cast. According to an entertainment portal's report, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri are headlining it. 

However, Karan, the producer of Dhadak, clarified that Dharma Productions isn't working on any film with the title Dhadak 2. Sharing a note on his Instagram stories, the filmmaker wrote, "To put this on the record and for all concerned, we (Dharma Productions) are not making a film with the title Dhadak 2 as it being reported in various articles.."

Workwise, Siddhant was last seen in Phone Bhoot whereas Tripti was the lead in the Netflix film, Qala.
