Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is an epitome of elegance at King Charles III's coronation concert, begins her spoken word performance with a 'namaste'

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took centre stage at King Charles III's coronation concert on Sunday. Dressed in a gown designed by Anamika Khanna and Emilia Wickstead, the actress oozed elegance and grace as she represented India on a global platform. 

At the concert, which was a part of King Charles III's coronation celebrations, Sonam was introduced as one of the biggest actors in Bollywood. She began her speech with a namaste. During her spoken word performance, she emphasized the diversity of the Commonwealth and the oneness that binds the nation.

It was also a prelude to the virtual choir performances by the Commonwealth which included choirs, solo artists and duos from the 56 Commonwealth countries. Sonam introduced Steve Winwood, who performed a modern version of his iconic song Higher Love accompanied by a 70-piece orchestra.

Sonam's mother, Sunita Kapoor, shared a video of her spoken word performance on her Instagram and wrote, "So proud! Such an honour."
