Karan Johar, Kiara Advani, Priyanka Chopra Jonas to Janhvi Kapoor, B-town celebrates Mother's Day 2023

The world is celebrating International Mother's Day today (May 14). On this occasion, Bollywood stars shared pictures with their mothers and mothers-in-law to make the day even more special. From Kiara Advani's wish to Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal's posts, here's how actors celebrated Mother's Day 2023.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas wrote, "Im so lucky to have always known the love of a mother. My mother is the strongest woman I know. And her mother was too. I come from a lineage of women who are warriors and I was blessed to be raised by many of them. My Mum, my aunts, my grand mothers. Thank you Ma, you’re the greatest gift in my life. I could not be more grateful you’re mine! To all the moms out there.. the ones I have the privilege of knowing and working with and the ones I don’t… YOU are superheroes. As a new mum I have so much respect for all the providers and nurtures, (my mother insists mothers are also providers, I agree), who devote themselves to the next generation. My gratitude. Also thank you Denise for raising an exceptional son and for all the love you bestow upon our family. I’m so blessed. And… I love you Malti Marie. Thank you for making me a mama. Its the greatest honour of my life that you chose me."

Karan Johar wrote, "Roohi, Yash and I are blessed to have you as our Rock, our pillar, our conscience and our heartbeat…. Love you mama to the moon and back."

In a statement, Rajat Barmecha said, "My bond with my mother is extremely special and close. There is nothing I can’t share with her or vice versa. I am her go to person for anything she wants to be communicated to anyone in the house. She has taught me everything I know about my emotions and being vocal about it. She is the strongest person in our family and someone we all depend on. She always had my back emotionally at every stage  of my life. Be it when I started out or today. It doesn’t matter the kind of day I am having, be it good or bad, I know she is just a thought away. Her one smile or kiss can change it all and make everything better. She is my blessing!""

Janhvi Kapoor remembered her mother Sridevi and wrote, "running out of pictures but never out of memories. The best mumma in the world. You keep me going always I miss you"

Masaba Gupta wrote, "As a child, I was afraid of the dark. I remember as a 4-year-old, I was scared to go to sleep. Every night, mum would hold me tight and recite the Gayatri Mantra with me and put me to sleep no matter how busy she was.  On one such night she explained the meaning of Gayatri Mantra and the power it holds. That is something that has stayed with me. To this date when I fear something or am taking up something new, I chant it, remember my mum and take the step forward. It is her support and her love that walks with me every day. It is a trick which always comes in handy! Today, whoever I am is because of the values I imbibed through her stories."
