The much-awaited Cannes Film Festival rolled out its red carpet on Tuesday. Several Indian celebrities will be attending the film festival throughout the week. The first day of the Cannes Film Festival 2023 marked the red carpet debut of Sara Ali Khan. 

The actress went the desi way as she represented India on the global stage. She was seen in an off-white Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. 

Talking to the group of paparazzi at the Cannes Film Festival 2023, Sara said, "Nervous... I've always aspired to be here someday, and I can't believe I'm here." She further spoke about her look and shared, "It's a traditional and modern Indian handmade design by Abu and Sandeep (Khosla). I've always been proud of my Indianness. It embodies who I am, it's fresh, it's modern and also has traditional roots."
