Karan Johar is returning to direction after a gap of 7 years and his comeback had to be with a special film. He directed Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh headlined Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani which will release on July 28. It is a special year for Karan as he completes 25 years in the film industry. Today, on his birthday, the filmmaker dropped in the first-look posters of Ranveer and Alia as Rocky and Rani.
After unveiling Ranveer's look as Rocky, Dharma Productions introduced Rani to the audience. The caption read, "Dilon ko dhadkaane aa rahi hai woh - the ‘Rani’ of this 'prem kahaani'! #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani, a film by Karan Johar in his 25th anniversary year. In cinemas 28th July, 2023."
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.
