Anushka Sharma returned to acting after almost 2 years with a cameo in the Netflix film, Qala. She also shot for Jhulan Goswami's biopic titled Chakda Xpress which will stream on the OTT giant soon. It is her first lead role after the birth of her daughter Vamika who turned 2 in January this year. At a recent event, Anushka said her daughter needs a lot more of her time hence she's willing to do only one film a year.
"I know my daughter is at this age that she needs a lot more of my time. Virat (Kohli) is a great father. He is very involved as a parent. But she is at that age, we have also seen that, she just needs me more. We recognise that. So, I have taken those steps. I want to do one film a year, enjoy the process of acting which is what I like and balance my life out like the way I am, give time to family," Anushka told at the event.
Anushka and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, welcomed Vamika on January 11, 2021.
