Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's Gadar 2: The Katha Continues is the current talk of the town. The sequel is scheduled to release on August 11 in theatres globally. The BTS footage from the film's sets went viral and left fans excited for the reunion of Sunny and Ameesha as Tara Singh and Sakeena.
However, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has now come forward to raise a strong objection to the shooting of a scene of Gadar 2 within the premise of a Gurudwara in Panchkula. In a viral clip, Sunny and Ameesha can be seen standing arm in arm and looking at each other while Gatka experts performed around them.
Reacting to this, the general secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Gurcharan Singh Grewal, reportedly said in a tweet, "Flower petals are being showered (on the actors). Moreover, 'Gatka' (a Sikh martial art) Singhs could be seen performing around them."
Reportedly, he also said the actor and director Anil Sharma should understand that a Gurdwara is not a place for shooting such a scene. "We want to say that such pictures (a video clip) which are appearing is shameful for the Sikh community," he added.
As per reports, the team of Gadar 2 sought permission to film a Baisakhi sequence which was shot on May 30.
