Manoj Muntashir, the dialogue writer of Adipurush, has been facing extreme criticism for the pedestrian language used in the film which is a retelling of Ramayan. He is being slammed for penning dialogues like, "Kapda tere baap ka, aag tere baap ki, tel tere baap ka, jalegi bhi tere baap ki." Now, amid backlash, the writer has sought police protection. Manoj claimed he received a threat to his life.
A media agency confirmed the news on Twitter and wrote, "Mumbai Police provides security to dialogue writer of Adipurush, Manoj Muntashir after he sought a security cover citing a threat to his life. Police say that they are investigating the matter."

Adipurush opened exceptionally well at the box office. However, the audience did not appreciate certain dialogues used in the film. Respect their opinion, the makers decided to modify a couple of them to suit the core theme of the Om Raut directorial.
Headlined by Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, Adipurush released in theatres on June 16.
