Shahid Kapoor conquers OTT; Farzi and Bloody Daddy become the most watched series and movie in Hindi this year

After climbing the ladder of success with theatrical projects for around two decades, Shahid Kapoor captivated the OTT audience with his releases this year. He made his web series debut with Farzi earlier this year on Prime Video. His first collaboration with director Ali Abbas Zafar premiered on JioCinema in June. Needless to say, both were received well by the audience who got to see a new, intense and relatable form. 

Farzi, directed by Raj & DK, was among the top-rated web series of the year. Co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna, the show revolving around the circulation of fake notes stood tall with 37.1 million viewers. 

Bloody Daddy, co-starring Diana Penty and Rajeev Khandelwal, garnered 16.6 million viewership. It was a remake of the French film Sleepless Night. 

Shahid is currently working on an untitled film with Kriti Sanon.
