The Censor Board of Film Certification, after it got hauled over the coals for letting Adipurush get past, is now taking no chances. The first opportunity it got to play spoilsport, it leaped at with the scissors. Unfortunately, this film happens to be Dharma Productions’ Friday release Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. 

And the notorious censors are reported to have watched the Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhat rom-com with a magnifying glass. What they did not like was a Hindi bad word (well, it’s Ranveer) appearing repeatedly in the film. Also, reference to the Lok Sabha and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Bannerjee. And an alcohol bottle whose label was changed to now read Bold Monk. Scenes showing Rabindranath Tagore and one funny one in a lingerie store have also been snipped. Wonder what they have left.
