The much-awaited Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani directed by Karan Johar starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles released on July 28 in theatres. Its release also marked the completion of 25 years as a filmmaker for Karan Johar. 

The film, going by strong word of mouth, has performed well at the domestic box office during its first weekend.  The collection stands at Rs 45.90 Crores across the domestic market within 3 days, making it the fourth-highest first weekend open of 2023 for a Hindi-origin film after Pathaan, Adipurush, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The film collected around Rs 18.75 crore on the third day at the domestic market, which is the highest number from the day of its release.

The big growth through the weekend, a massive jump from Fri-Sun and repeat audiences going in to experience the family entertainer, is making the film a favorite among the masses.
