Rocky Randhawa. Ranveer Singh is a force to reckon with as the main lead in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, receiving rave reviews for his OTT Karol Bagh Punjabi Munda portrayal.
The audience seems convinced that Ranveer was being his ‘actual self’ in the film. But Karan has something else to say!
In an interview, Karan revealed that he took inspiration from other iconic characters for the part of Rocky because he wanted him to be equally lovable, eccentric, and clueless about the world. Just like the iconic character 'Poo' essayed by Kareena Kapoor Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Karan admitted that Rocky has got some traits of Poo and called him an updated version of 'Male Poo'. ''He (Rocky) had to be Poo but updated. He was like the male Poo''.
The director also made a comparison of Ranveer's character 'Rocky' with 'Ken' from the film Barbie. ''He was like the Ken to Barbie. It's all ironic that Barbie is out here now. So, he was like the perfect kind of Ken, who has had rough edges,'' added Karan.
Well it seems, Ranveer x Poo with a dash of Ken has been a win-win situation for RRKPK's Rocky!
