The renowned Malayalam film director, Siddique Ismail passed away at a private hospital in Kochi on the night of August 8, aged 68. He was admitted to the hospital earlier due to his unstable condition and suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday post which the condition of the filmmaker only worsened, leading to his death on Tuesday. The filmmaker is known for his notable work in the industry and has directed around 15 films, out of which many were hits.
Ismail began his career as a mimicry artist and then switched to script writing and made his debut with the film 'Pappan Priyapette Pappan' in 1986. He even assisted the filmmakers like Fazil and Kamal in the initial days. His first film as a filmmaker was ‘Ramjirao Speaking’ in 1989 which turned out to be a blockbuster. The director is also well known for his Bollywood film 'Bodyguard' which had Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles and turned out to be a super hit at the box office.
His last film was 'Big Brother' which was released in 2020.
