The wait around the Don franchise is finally over as Farhan Akhtar has finally introduced us to the teaser of Don 3. After years of speculations, the actor-filmmaker has finally introduced Ranveer Singh as the new star of the upcoming Don 3. The actor has taken over from Shah Rukh Khan, who played the titular role in two Don movies, released in 2006 and 2011, respectively. While originally, the character was originally played by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan in the 1978 hit Don.'

While the speculation around the leading man is over, the mystery around the leading lady is still on. Now, we have heard that the makers have already started looking for the female lead opposite Ranveer. According to the grapevine, Kiara Advani has been approached to play the leading lady in Don 3. Yesterday, the actress was spotted at the office of Excel Entertainment and sources have confirmed that their meeting was in regards to Don 3. 

Kiara has been narrated the basic storyline and plot by Farhan Akhtar. We've heard that Kiara will be seen playing a negative character. Her role will have a fresh makeover and will have no adaptation from the character of Roma, essayed by Priyanka Chopra in the previous Don franchises. 

Don 3 is expected to go on floors by the mid of 2024 and will release in theatres only in 2025. The film will only go on floors once the tits cast finish their remaining projects. While Ranveer is yet to finish Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baiju Bawra with Alia Bhatt, which goes on floors around February next year. Kiara is also supposed to wrap War 2 with Hrithik Roshan by then. On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar will finish RS Prassanna's Campeones remake, in which he plays a basketball coach. The actor is expected to start shooting for this yet-untitled dramatic sports drama in November and post which he will head to the pre-production of Don 3.
