With thirty years in the business, Sushmita Sen is known for taking up risks and challenging roles. As in her upcoming series Taali, where she will be portraying the role of transgender activist Gauri Sawant.  

In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon.com, the actress opened up about having her first hit with Biwi No 1 and how everyone was assured it won't work since it was releasing with 1999 Cricket World Cup. Sushmita spoke about playing a negative character in Biwi No 1 and revealed how no other actress wanted to do the role. In fact, people were surprised when she took up the role and decided to go negative!

Biwi No 1 was a commerical success and had Sushmita in the front league in Bollywood at that time. Sushmita has also expressed her desire to do an out an out negative role in near future.
