I couldn't watch it': OMG2 actor Aarush Verma talks about 'A' certification granted to film

Directed by Amit Rai, OMG2  released on August 11 and has been getting a good review from the audience. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in the lead roles and follows the story of Kanti Sharan (Pankaj) who gets in trouble after his son is rusticated from the school, for his help the messenger of Lord Shiva (Akshay) comes in his life to show him the right path and Yami plays the role of a lawyer-antagonist. Recently the actor Aarush Verma who portrayed the role of Pankaj's son in the film opened up about not being able to watch the film due to the 'A' certification that was granted by CBFC.

The actor expressed that he was so excited to watch his debut film and so were his friends and family but due to the restrictions, he could not. Aarush said,"It was kind of annoying because this is my first film, and my family, friends, and everyone have been showing constant excitement, they couldn't wait to watch the film. Also, if anyone watches the film, they will know that the whole point of the film is to teach everyone that sex education and such topics are important to be taught to kids at a young age. So that their minds can develop around it.And if they're (CBFC) making that same movie 18+, it kind of defeats the point of making such a film. Plus, one of my biggest desires and ambitions was to see myself on the big screen, which I couldn't and that kind of pissed me off. I couldn't watch it because they've turned it into an A-rated film. It just felt annoying."

A couple of days back, Aarush also made a petition for the removal of ‘A’ certificate, seeking permission for the film it to be viewed by adolescents. The young actor mentioned that it is important for teenagers to be aware of such topics that film educates and how during the shooting of the film none of the children felt uncomfortable regarding the topics and scenes.
