Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon were amongst the most loved onscreen couples back in 90’s. They have worked together in several films including Mohra 1994, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi 1996 and Keemat 1998 to name a few. Both also shared a romantic relationship beyond the screen but had to separate their ways post which the couple didn’t appear together in any other film. Now, after almost 20 years, the news of them coming together for the much-awaited upcoming sequel Welcome 3 is doing the rounds.

As per reports in an entertainment portal, "Akshay and Raveena have worked together on multiple films including cults like Mohra. Their last collaboration was Police Force: An Inside Story. It has taken 20 years and a comic caper like Welcome 3 to bring the two of them together. While details of their dynamic in the film have been kept under wraps, however, it is unlike anything they have done before. Welcome 3 is titled Welcome to the Jungle and is an adventure comedy with a big ensemble. The prep work is in progress and the shoot schedule will be chalked out soon. Both Akshay and Raveena are excited about this reunion."

Although the couple was not seen sharing screen space all these years, they are said to be good friends. Earlier Raveena mentioned in one of her interviews that she has a lot of respect for Akshay. "Akshay and I are still friends. You need to respect it and move on. I think of him very highly. I think he is one of the strongest pillars of our industry."
