The trailer of the much-anticipated thriller series Scam 2003:The Telgi Story is out and just like its predecessor, Scam 1992 - The Harshad Mehta story, is back with a new story and unexpected face! Directed by Hansal Mehta and Tushar Hiranandani, the series stars Gagan Dev Riar in the lead, based on one of India's biggest scams and mastermind Abdul Karim Telgi, which shocked the nation with its unimaginable scale.
Scam 2003: The Telgi story is inspired by Sanjay Singh's book Telgi Scam: Reporter Ki Diary. It's also the second installment in the franchise after Scam 1992. The character of Telgi is portrayed as a simple middle-aged man, who mostly smiles during conversations.
The trailer begins with the introduction of the lead character and people addressing him as a very smart individual who is always ready to take all the risks. It further shows the journey of Telgi that looks like a simple man but has an entire master plan laid out in his head, waiting for execution. The rest of the trailer follows authorities trying to trace out Telgi.
