OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam has received a lot of appreciation from the audience. Bringing up  significant social issues like sex education and awareness, the film has been referred to as a bold and brave experiment. Yami portrayed the role of a lawyer antagonist, Kamini Maheshwari in the film, and has also been appreciated for her role. In a recent interview, the actress shared how Akshay played a pivotal role in her signing the film. 

Yami said, “We were in the middle of the second lockdown when Akshay sir called me for OMG 2. Very honestly, he told me ‘This is one of the best scripts of my career. The story must come out. I would love to introduce my director to you.’" 
She further added that Akshay put her on a call with the director of the film who then narrated her the rest. 

Yami further added, "I was very happy to see his active conventions, knowing that this subject would spark some fire and questions. We saw it as a discussion rather than a debate or question.”

Directed by Amit Rai, the film follows the story of Kanti Sharan (Pankaj) whose son gets rusticated from the school following which the messenger of lord Shiva (Akshay) comes for his help.
