Karan Johar is all set to launch another hero in the B-Town, Lakshya, who is going to feature in an upcoming action thriller Kill. The project is a collaboration between two biggest production houses, Karan’s Dharma and Guneet Monga Kapoor’s Sikhya Entertainment. In a recent interview, Karan was asked about battling nepotism tag to which he replied that this project is a direct reply to all those who keep on pouring unnecessary hate.
Karan, at The Toronto International Film Festival, stated, "You criticize us for everything. You curse us. You speak about the fact that we support and encourage nepotism, nepo babies, all the flak that comes to us." He continued, "I wanna say if you give us the flak, then today give us the credit. Lakshya is a rank outsider. This is a very expensive film mounted entirely on him. We have produced it, we have funded it, Dharma Productions has funded. The money, the risk is all ours."
The film opened to rave reviews at the prestigious TIFF.
Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Kill also features Raghav Juyal.
