Vishal Bhardwaj is a renowned filmmaker of the Indian industry and has been a recipient of eight National Film Awards and a Filmfare award. In a recent interview, he went on to talk about Imran Khan and the biasness that is often addressed towards the actor. Imran has been in headlines this year for multiple reasons and at a point fans even speculated that he might be making a comeback to the films but there has been no official confirmation from the actor.
Vishal went on to point out that people perceive Imran to be a bad actor which is actually baseless. He said, “We have been conditioned to think he is a bad actor. I am not saying he is Uttam Kumar or Dilip Kumar, but we have been conditioned. Whenever anyone has watched the movie outside, who doesn’t have a reference to Imran Khan, no one has told me that he’s a weak actor. It’s a very strange thing.
Vishal worked with Imran in the dark comedy Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola which was released back in 2011. The filmmaker wanted to cast Ajay Devgn in the film, but the actor walked out of it as the dates with his other film Son Of Sardar were clashing.
Contrary, the filmmaker is all set to impress the audience with another masterpiece Khufiya that will release on October 5 and stars Tabu, Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead.
