In February 2018, the news of Sridevi's untimely demise shocked the nation. The actress was found drowned in the bath tub of her room in Dubai. Following the incident several speculations about her death have forever been doing the rounds. 

Remembering the late actress, Sridevi's  husband and producer Boney Kapoor recently spoke in one of the interviews about the actress demise and the fake news of the couple having their first daughter Janhvi before the marriage. Boney shared, “My second marriage, my marriage with Sri. We got married on June 2. We exchanged vows, we spent a night there and it was only in January when her pregnancy was seen that we had no choice, but to marry publicly. It took place in Shirdi, on June 2. In public, we were married only in January (1997). That is why some scribes still write she (Janhvi) was born before marriage, something like that.” 

The producer also went on to share that everyone in his family is very religious. "Whether it was Sri, whether it was Sunita (brother Anil Kapoor's wife), whether it was me or Anil or my daughter Janhvi. (We are religious). She goes to Tirupathi every three months. My wife Sridevi used to walk to Tirupathi on every birthday of hers. Whenever I was in trouble, she walked from Juhu to Siddhi Vinayak barefoot," he shared. 

Boney confirmed in the same interview that the death of the actress wasn’t natural but accidental. The producer shared that the actress would starve herself in order to maintain her ‘looks’ and would have blackouts often due to the same reason. As a result, she felt unconscious and accidentally drowned in the bath tub of her hotel room.
