Imtiaz Ali is a renowned film director and has directed a number of films, including Tamasha, Rockstar and Love Aaj Kal to name a few.
In a recent interview, the filmmaker went on to comment upon the making of the sequel for one of his directorial’s Jab We Met that featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor. As the speculations of the possible remake of one of the biggest rom coms has been all over the news for the last few days.
The filmmaker made it clear that he has no plans to make second part of the film in coming time.
Imtiaz said, “No, it’s not happening.I don’t have a story for Jab We Met 2 yet. I’ve heard of these and read these reports and articles. Nobody asked me before publishing them, so I don’t know what to say. But let’s see what happens.”
The rumours arose back in June when a fan of Shahid asked the actor on Twitter, “I’ve noticed that you and Imtiaz Ali have been interacting a lot recently! Is there any project in the works?” In response to which Shahid wrote, “Smart Boy” leading to speculations about the possible collaboration with Imtiaz and sequel to Jab We Met.
For the unversed, Jab We Met released in 2007 and has been a breakthrough film for Kareena who portrayed the role of Geet in it.
