Rhea Chakraborty was all over the headlines back in 2020 after the mysterious death of her rumoured boyfriend actor, late Sushant Singh Rajput. Although the reports initially suggested the cause of death to be a suicide, speculation of the possible murder came to light later and at the same time, name of Rhea being one of the culprits started doing rounds.  

Following the chaos, the actress was arrested in a drugs related case and released in October after being in a judicial custody for 28 days. During the same time, her brother Showik was also arrested with the same allegations. 

In one of the recent public forum interactions, the actress spoke about the time she was completely broken. Rhea recalled, “So the day I got bail, my brother didn’t get bail and I was devastated. It was the only day that I broke down completely.”

She further added that she promised her inmates before that she would dance when she gets bail, initially she didn’t want to but then changed her thoughts, she further added about how those women enjoyed dancing with her.

Rhea shared, “So I refused them at first and when the jailer came and told me mat karo tum, chhod do and I was like haan haan. But then I thought that I am leaving and I am probably never gonna see these women again and if I could give them five minutes of happiness with the dance performance with them, then why the hell not? The excitement and joy and happiness that I saw in these women's eyes while I was dancing for them with them is probably the highest point of my life to date.”

Rhea debuted with the Telugu film Tuneega Tunnega back in 2012, after which she entered Bollywood with Mere Dad Ki Maruti in 2013.
