Ankita Lokhande, who is currently seen in the ongoing reality show Bigg Boss 17, is back in headlines after the death of her ex-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, who died by suicide on June 14, 2020. What followed up was a filthy media circus and Ankita has often maintained to keep her silence on the matter. 

However, Ankita finally opened up about her break up with SSR as she shared about it with co- contestant Munawar Faruqui on Bigg Boss 17 last night episode.

She said, "Wo ek dum ek raat mein gayab ho gaya. Success mil rahi thi toh, log uske kaan bhar rahe the."

Further adding that both were together for seven years and Sushant actually never explained the reason for their separation. Ankita and Sushant  were popular for their roles of Archana and Manav in the television  serial Pavitra Rishta, from where they began seeing each other. The two split in 2016, post the announcement of their wedding was made. 

 Although the serial was enjoying a massive fan following and popularity, Sushant quit the show in 2011 as he wanted to pursue his career in Bollywood.  

Ankita is now shining with her career and has also made her Bollywood debut with Manikarnika (2019) following which she was also seen in Baaghi 3 (2020).

She got married to her long time boyfriend and businessman Vicky Jain in 2021.
