Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol made a comeback on Koffee with Karan Season 8 after their appearance in 2005 on the show, where senior Deol went on to talk about his recent film Gadar 2 clash with Akshay Kumar's OMG 2. 

Sunny said that he believed that both the films should have had solo releases and he did ask Akshay Kumar if that was possible to which the OMG 2 actor replied that it is the decision of the studio and both the films can release on the same day.

Sunny shared,  "I mean, obviously, I asked him, 'please don't do it if it's in your hands,' but he said 'no, the studio, and all that... and they said that anyways two films can release,' so I said, okay, go ahead. I can just request; I can't do anything more than that."

Further on being asked if Sunny felt bad after the release of OMG 2 was announced on the same date as Gadar 2 although the announcement of Gadar 2’s release was made prior.

Sunny replied, "It's a very emotional thing if you ask me, frankly, because I thought my film was releasing, and I haven't had a success for donkey's years, and I didn't want anybody else to come along with it. Well, but you can't stop anybody. So obviously, it does hurt you. But then I said, I mean, does it matter? Let's go along with it. Doesn't matter. Let's just do it."

Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma turned out to be the second highest Hindi film grosser in the history of Indian cinema with Rs 530 crores + business at the box office.
