Priyanka Chopra needs no introduction and has now become a global icon. In a recent interaction at MAMI Film Festival, the actress went on to talk about her film and Madhur Bhandarkar’s directorial Fashion that released back in the year of 2008 and showed a darker side behind the glamorous world of modeling.
Priyanka shared that she was asked not to do a women-oriented films in the initial stage of her acting career and was told that actresses generally end up doing such films at the end of their careers in order to get awards.
The actress further added that she just loved the script when she was offered Fashion and it was more of a ‘passion project’ for her.
Priyanka said, "But I just didn't know any better. I loved the script. I loved what Madhur was talking about." And added that they sat on a script for the next 6 months.
Undoubtedly she has done a great job in the film and was even bestowed with the national award of the Best Actress for her performance at the 56th National Film Awards.
The actress was last seen in the series Citadel, and will next appear in comedy film Head of State and Jee Lee Zara alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
