The trailer of the much awaited The Archies is finally out. Marking the debut of Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor and Suhana Khan, the Netflix film also stars Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda in the lead. The makers have already created a wave of excitement after they unveiled two songs from the film before and now  the trailer of the film is out!

The trailer is set in the 60’s background and begins with the introduction of the Archies gang giving glimpses into their different lifestyles but uniting them with a bond of friendship. Everything seems to be going well until the wave of destruction hails, to overcome which the teenagers team up proving that one is never young to bring a change.

Speaking about the trailer, Zoya Akhtar shared, “Having spent a lot of my childhood  living in an Archie Comic, I'm thrilled to introduce Riverdale to this generation. The characters are iconic, their teenage life innocent, the world simpler, a time when less was more. Archie Comics, Netflix, Tiger Baby and Graphic India were in complete sync and wanted the adaptation to be as wholesome as the original comic was. It’s clean young adult content and was very fresh for Reema and me to work on. It’s also very exciting that a global IP chose the India film industry to make its first feature. Excited to get it out there.”

Directed by Zoya, The Archies is an Indian adaptation of the Archie Comics and the film will stream on Netflix  from December 7.
