Ranveer Singh represented India at the Red Sea International Film Festival 2023. He was honoured with the Yusr Award. As the actor went on stage to receive it from Sharon Stone, he noticed Johnny Depp in the audience. Ranveer, a self-proclaimed Depp fan, couldn’t curb his urge to convey his love and regards to the actor.

During this speech, Ranveer said, "I'm going off-script for a moment here. Wow, one of my screen idols is in the house. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Johnny Depp. My good sir, I have followed your work since 'Edward Scissorhands' and 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape.' What an honor to be receiving this award in your presence. Thank you for everything you have unknowingly taught me about the craft, sir. Master of Transformation, versatility, is something that I am inspired by you."

In a viral picture, Ranveer and Johnny were seen posing together. Looking dapper in black, the superstars sent fans into a frenzy.

Workwise, Ranveer was seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. His next film is Singham Again. He reprises his iconic cop character, Sangram Bhalerao, in a mission with Ajay Devgn’s Bajirao Singham.
