Sara Ali Khan never auditioned for Triptii Dimri's Zoya in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal is a multi-starred crime drama. It is headlined by Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri. Amid the film's humongous success, there were rumours that Sara Ali Khan had auditioned for the second lead role. Parineeti Chopra was signed to play the lead with Ranbir. 

While Parineeti walked out of Animal, Rashmika was roped in to play the role of Gitanjali. Reportedly, Sara auditioned for the part of Zoya, which was eventually offered to Tripti Dimri. Now, a source from the industry has dismissed the speculation. According to the source, Sara was never tested for the role of Zoya. The industry insider said, "Sara Ali Khan never auditioned for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film Animal."

 

According to an ETimes report, Sandeep wasn't enthusiastic about casting Sara. The report further stated that the director felt she might not be suitable for a bold character. With this, it has bean clarified that the role was made only for Tripti, who is basking in praise for her performance in Animal.
