Meghna Gulzar’s directorial Sam Bahadur has been one of the much appreciated films of the year. Featuring talented Vicky Kaushal in the role of Sam Manekshaw alongside Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, the film portrays the life of the Field Marshall and is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971.
Ever since the release, audience have applauded the performances of the entire star cast and even hailed that Vicky should receive a national award for his work. As the third week for the film is running, Sam Bahadur continues with its stellar performance. After earning over Rs 2 crores on Friday, film’s total collection at the domestic box office now stands at Rs 65 crores.
Released on December 1, the film also turned to be the second highest first day opener for Vicky after his previous film Uri: The Surgical Strike.
