Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan Season 8 continues to entertain the masses with its star-studded episodes. This time as the 9th release of the season dropped, it featured Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn gracing the koffee couch who also went on to spill some beans.

Rohit Shetty commented how Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan deal with the success and failure of their films: Talking about Ajay and Salman, Rohit went on to share how both the superstars approach the success of their films and the failure too. He also mentioned that both of them carry a very similar attitude. Rohit said, “If the film is a blockbuster, they are sitting outside their van and chilling. If it has done well, they are sitting outside the van and chilling on shoot. It doesn’t bother them at all.”

Ajay opened up on nepotism in film industry: During the conversation, the actor went on to comment about a much-talked topic of the town ‘nepotism’, he said, "people don't realize that the generations have worked and worked very hard to reach till here. It's not an easy story...The struggle is the same for everyone and you have to work hard. Everybody has to do that. People don't see that part of your hard work. They just think 'They get everything handed to them.' We don't." 

Ajay and Rohit were also asked about the possible debut of their children in films. Talking about the same, Ajay said, "Right now she (his daughter Nysa) doesn't want to be.I don't think she wants to be but tomorrow if something changes they will run a 20-year-old interview that Ajay Devgn said this but right now, there is zero percent chance." 

Rohit also talked about his son Ishaan and admitted that he has interest in films. The filmmaker shared, "Yes, he wants to be in movies. He's made up his mind. He has to go through that whole format like I am going to take my car back from him and everything. He has to go through that struggle." 

Rohit talked about the failure of his film Cirkus at the box office: His directorial Cirkus released back in the year of 2022 and featured many actors including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde and others, but turned to be a box office failure. Talking about the same, he said, "When Cirkus didn't do well, Anupam Kher came to my office. He's a friend and we've worked on one film and one very good thing he said, 'After a point in your life when you've worked so much, it's the event that fails, it's not you.' And yes, we went wrong and it was a film made during the pandemic and was made before Sooryavanshi was released. Somewhere I, as a director went wrong with that film, and good it was a small film that went wrong with, not a big one." 

Rohit and Ajay spoke about the success of Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2: Gadar 2 which released back on August 11 of this year featuring Sunny and Ameesha Patel has turned to be super successful film at the box office. Reacting to it, Rohit said, "I think that was one film which every one of us was happy about. For Gadar, for Sunny Sir."

Ajay added, "In fact, I told Sunny also all the chains all over the city, theater chains all over the city, people celebrated, and they had a get-together and they were so happy about it."

Ajay shared why he doesn’t show up at shows often: The actor was asked by Karan about his rare appearance on the shows, replying to which he said,  "I've always been like this. Initially, people thought I'm arrogant but now they know I am like this. I have this discomfort, I would say of mingling with people and just chatting and talking. I would like to meet people but when it's personal and private and quiet. Otherwise, I feel very awkward. If I decide to also go out somewhere in the evening for a get-together, by evening, I start falling sick also  and if I'm genuinely sick, Kajol will turn around and say, 'You're purposely doing it.'" 

Ajay revealed   Karan was his ‘sworn enemy’ once: On being asked about having the sworn enemy, Ajay went on to take the name of Karan and admitted that there was a point when he considered him his sworn enemy.

Ajay shared how he handles Ranveer Singh at the  set: As Ajay and Ranveer would be seen in the upcoming directorial of Rohit, Singham Again, Ajay was asked about how he handles ‘extremely energetic’ Ranveer on sets, replying to which he said, "Either I shut him up or I shut my ears."

Ajay reveals why he doesn’t attend parties: On being questioned about the reason for his rare appearances at the parties, Ajay said that he isn’t being called anymore. 

Ajay shared what he would want to take from Shah Rukh, Salman and Akshay Kumar: During the rapid fire round, Ajay was asked what he would want to take from the above mentioned actors. Responding to the same Ajay shared that he would want to  borrow a page from Salman’s book of singlehood, where he said he would want his ‘single status.’ Talking about Shah Rukh, the actor responded with the desire to get his business acumen. As he continued, Ajay said that he would want to take the  ability of wrapping up the shoot of the films in 4- days from Akshay.
