Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's daughter, Raha Kapoor, brought joy, love and positivity into the family with her birth. She turned a year old on November 6 this year. Fans were waiting to see her first glimpse. Today, on the occasion of Christmas 2023, Alia and Ranbir finally introduced Raha to the world.
Alia and Ranbir attended the Kapoor family's Christmas 2023 lunch at Kunal Kapoor's residence in Mumbai. For the first time, Raha's parents allowed the paparazzi to click her pictures. The little one looked adorable as she was nestled in her father Ranbir's arms.
Raha was dressed in a white and pink frock. Her hair was done into two ponytails tied with pink hair ties.
Alia wore a black and red floral printed dress with a Santa headband. She completed her look with an infectious smile and a pair of red heels. Ranbir opted for a black T-shirt, jeans and a jacket. He was carrying baby Raha in his arms.
On Koffee With Karan 8, Alia spoke about being protective about Raha and not allowing her pictures to leak on the internet. Recalling an incident when she broke down after her child's face got revealed accidentally. Alia shared, "So actually, at that time I remember basically I felt like a picture came out of hers, and it was our schedule in Kashmir (for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani). It was a very, very difficult schedule for me because it was my first time shooting after giving birth. And no matter what anybody says, it takes really long for your body to bounce back. I still feel like I am undergoing some changes. I was not sleeping at night. I was feeding. I was rushing in between shoots and stuff. So I remember calling up Ranbir and saying, 'Listen I am really... I am finding it very difficult'. So he pushed his work. He said, 'Do not worry. I am going to come pick her up… He said, 'I am going to come pick her up. I am going to take her. I have pushed my work. She will be with me. And it was really like relaxing for me."
Alia added, "So that guilt carried on. It was just one-and-a-half days later that I travelled back and I saw a photo, where the side of her (Raha's) face was kind of visible. And I just broke down. I realised I was not breaking down because I don't want people to see her face. Honestly, when we are meeting people, Ranbir and I are constantly like, 'Please give her your blessings. Raha do namaste'. We are proud of our baby. But it was just too many emotions put together and I am so protective of my loved ones that I just felt like 'Oh God, I don't want that conversation'. I realised I was just exhausted and overwhelmed at that point."
