Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and the entire Kapoor clan reunited at Shashi Kapoor's son Kunal Kapoor's residence for their annual Christmas brunch. As a part of the celebration, the family cut a cake. However, the cake-cutting put Ranbir in trouble. 

Reportedly, a complaint was filed against Ranbir and the Kapoor family members for allegedly hurting the sentiments of a person. In a viral video, the Animal actor was seen lighting the cake and said, "Jai Mata Di," after doing so. The complaint was filed on Wednesday at Ghatkopar Police Station and the cops are yet to file an FIR.

According to reports, a person named Sanjay Tiwari filed the complaint through his lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra. As per the complaint, he stated that 'in Hinduism, the fire god is invoked before invoking other deities, but Ranbir Kapoor and his family members deliberately used intoxicants while celebrating the festival of another religion and chanted Jai Mata Di'. Due to this, Sanjay claimed that his sentiments were hurt. 

In the viral video, Kunal's son, actor Zahan Kapoor, was seen pouring liquor over the cake. Ranbir had the lighter in his hand and after the liquor was poured, he set fire on the cake.

The Kapoor family is yet to respond to the matter.
