Rajkumar Hirani recently collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time for Dunki and the film has been giving a commendable performance at the box office ever since the release. In a recent interview, the filmmaker expressed his thoughts on the same and went on to share that working with Shah Rukh has been a dream come true for him. 

He said, “You always want to make a movie with a meaningful and good story. Shah Rukh liked the story from the beginning. After doing action movies, as an actor, he also wanted to do something different and this is the reason he was very involved and happy about it. I also wanted to work with SRK for so long and, ‘mere liye vo baat puri ho gayi’ and finally we worked together and ‘bahut maza aaya’.”

He further added, “He is a great man and he just showers love on everybody and we enjoyed working on this film.”

In one of the previous interviews, Shah Rukh also expressed that he wanted to work with the filmmaker way back and was even considered for Munna Bhai MBBS and 3 Idiots but due to some reason couldn’t be a part of either film. 

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki released on December 21 and also features Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, Boman Irani and Anil Grover alongside the actor.
