Neetu Kapoor recently became a guest alongside Zeenat Aman at Karan Johar's Koffee with Karan Season 8. During the show, both the actresses went on to share many unknown things about their personal and professional lives. In the conversation, Neetu went on to recall her husband and late actor Rishi Kapoor who died in 2020 after battling leukaemia for two years. Talking about him, she went on to share that he was a very 'strict' boyfriend back then.
The actress said, "We had a fabulous time, especially with Yash ji. We would party in the night, play antakshari, play dumb charades. So, that was like one picnic. That was really-really fun.But I had this Rishi Kapoor as my boyfriend. So, I never partied-partied. Because he was always like, yeh nahi karna, woh nahi karna, ghar aajao. So, I’ve never seen that wild side of partying in those days.”
She further added that not just the actor but even her mother used to be so strict. She continued, "I was committed and I had a very strict mother and a very strict boyfriend. So, I was torn between both of them."
She concluded by recalling the last days spent with the actor. She said, "For me, I don't like to remember the sad part. I like to remember the good part of our relationship and our time in New York. So New York was very sad, but we had the best year. I had the best year of my life."
Neetu and Rishi married on January 1980. They have two children together, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and Ranbir Kapoor.
